HAPPY NEW YEAR FRIENDS

Did you all have a good time? I had a very debauched night/morning of drunken tomfoolery followed by a severe hangover followed by lunch with my parents :D

Am finally home and excited to catch up with all the amazing fic being posted at

The exception that proves the rule, perhaps?

There were the most wimpy poo fireworks ever. I think they're always scared of setting fire to the Minster (it was struck by lightning once and they almost lost the whole thing). There were random sky lanterns floating around though.

Maybe I had holiday fever or something? It should be all cleared up now :D

Hmmm...on the bright side, I bet pets were happier! I can't believe I just tried to say something nice about lame fireworks *fail*. But oooooh lanterns are pretty. I imagine it looking very Chinese - but I bet I'm waaay off base with that guess.

I would imagine so. Mostly sky lanterns just look like floating lights in the sky. So, UFOs :D Amusingly, there was a letter in the local paper on Wednesday from a guy who claimed to have seen UFOs at midnight on NYE :D

Yup. Fully back on people: bad, alcohol:bad, outside:bad. JAMMIES FTW \o/

Hahaha. Yup. As soon as I see shiny things in the sky on NYE, aliens is the first place my mind goes too. Doh!
