HAPPY NEW YEAR FRIENDS

Did you all have a good time? I had a very debauched night/morning of drunken tomfoolery followed by a severe hangover followed by lunch with my parents :D

Am finally home and excited to catch up with all the amazing fic being posted at

Hahaha, but no. Technically I have spent less than 1/3 of 2010 in a state of drunk or hungover \o/ and the stats are only gonna get better. Victory will be mine.

Well, this is true. At this point the only way is up.

New Years was okay. We went into town (got snowed on) and watched the bells ring in at midnight. Very exciting (can you hear my bland monotone?). Then we froze half to death trying to get home - I haven't been that cold in years!

*g* Except if there was a picture definition of anti-social hermit, you know it would be me! This has just been some weird freak of nature week. I have no idea what's going on :P

There were the most wimpy poo fireworks ever. I think they're always scared of setting fire to the Minster (it was struck by lightning once and they almost lost the whole thing). There were random sky lanterns floating around though.

Maybe I had holiday fever or something? It should be all cleared up now :D

Hmmm...on the bright side, I bet pets were happier! I can't believe I just tried to say something nice about lame fireworks *fail*. But oooooh lanterns are pretty. I imagine it looking very Chinese - but I bet I'm waaay off base with that guess.

I would imagine so. Mostly sky lanterns just look like floating lights in the sky. So, UFOs :D Amusingly, there was a letter in the local paper on Wednesday from a guy who claimed to have seen UFOs at midnight on NYE :D

Yup. Fully back on people: bad, alcohol:bad, outside:bad. JAMMIES FTW \o/

Hahaha. Yup. As soon as I see shiny things in the sky on NYE, aliens is the first place my mind goes too. Doh!

I don't really get all the rules of yuletide, but that was pretty interesting.

No idea and I don't care but ADAM IS EATING THE UNIVERSE! There were a huuugggeee amount of idol hits compared to a teeny tiny amount of everything else except Merlin!

It did go a bit crazy...Still my least favourite holiday ever though! My parents fed me and actually noticed my fragile state, so were very quiet and sweet. Bless 'em.

How were the fireworks?

*shakes fist* OMG I WISH I WAS THERE. It looks like the most entertaining 45 minutes ever. How can someone sound that impressive even through layers of static noise or with muted band accompaniment? How does he get consistently more impressive? IS HE REAL? OR IS HE DANCER?

I love your recs. It took finding your site for me to actually fall for J2. There was just so much there to read that I was bound to find something I liked. Now there's no going back :)
