The cat is currently not talking to me, but I'm going to wear her down. No one can resist fish-dangles-from-a-stick.

So my first con is now done and dusted. Possibly my favourite non-panel moment of the whole weekend happened when ulysses3_de and I were in the queue for our Winchester "squeeze" pics. Some woman and her kid went to stand between the two boys and the little girl took one look at them and ran to hide behind the table that all the photo-printing equipment was on. Jensen was all "now you've frightened her" to Jared, who then proceeded to do that really big laugh where he rocks back in his chair and claps his hands a lot. Then Jared gets up to try and comfort the girl but she ducks under the table. So of course Jared then has to duck under the table and just as he goes down, the little girl pops up the other side. By this point Jensen is killing himself laughing and saying to the bit of Jared sticking out "now you made her cry". Jensen then decides to jump up to the camera and start taking pictures of Jared and the hapless photographer who is trying to untangle the kid from the wires. The girl finally decides to completely run out of the room and Jared sits back down and says to Jensen "she probably saw My Bloody Valentine". :DDD

Jared is waaay prettier in the flesh. And Jensen is still ridiculously gorgeous even with bright red lasik eye. And they were both still TALLER than me even though they were sitting! Jensen said it was because they had stools which I'm taking it as meaning he thinks I'm not short and therefore it must be so :)

Despite the fact that Rogue Events (boo) did their damndest to ruin the thing and should not be allowed to run anything ever, the panels that I manages to see were all incredibly good fun and, man, Misha really is just THAT awesome. I'm really looking forward to catching the vids of the bits I missed though.

The guests were all really cool and it was obvious they were really trying to make it as good for the attendees as possible. In the autograph panels I managed to speak to pretty much everyone, even if it was briefly. Jared said that he'd only had three hours sleep on Saturday night as well as jetlag but that he'd be alright because he'd try to sleep on the plane. Jensen said that his eye was feeling good and the surgery wasn't painful and Misha instructed me that I shouldn't be a rule breaker when I didn't put down my thing to be signed fast enough and the staff lady got snippy with me.

In general everyone in attendance that I spoke to there was seriously cool (queuing is like war in that it creates camaraderie) and I loved that in Jensen's panel, when he mentioned Danneel, the crowd actually cheered for her and he seemed really pleased about that and said "yeah, love her". That felt like a pretty classy moment. Obviously a couple of people asking questions during the weekend were DUMB, but I think they were in the minority.

I've got to say, that I felt really bad for Jensen at the end of the con when he apologised for not doing his end panel because he was making sure everyone had gotten an autograph and pic. NOT HIS JOB OR FAULT.

And to make it even better, I got to spend the weekend with siubhlach , ulysses3_de and yehwellwhatever who all ROCK <3

I am now going to have the worlds bubbliest bubble bath and copious amounts of sleep and I hope that no one will mind if I leave catching up with you 'till later...

I'm so glad you had a good time, despite the craziness, and came away with some wonderful stories! Thanks for the story of the little girl - hilarious and so sweet! I can definitely see the whole thing happening and love that Jared got under the table to seek out the girl even as Jensen poked fun at him.

Thank you. I think what made the bit with the kid so sweet, is that it felt kinda cool to see them unguarded and just having fun with each other. But yeah, it really really was crazy. If I thought I understood queuing before... :D

The bubbles were awesome & then I fell asleep on the sofa with my laptop before I could reply!

I never doubted Jared was pretty of course, but, EVENPRETTIER?! Argh - With that in mind and a copious amount of J2 BigBang coming up . . . Can't breathe. . .


I'm also seriously getting into my Castiel/Dean fics. But the slightly less angsty ones. You done any recs for this pairing yet? You know I count on you to rec everything!

Hee. This was my first time \o/ The guests were all AWESOME but I don't think I could go to one again. About 75% of it was spent in queues and me feet were killing me :P

Man, Misha rocks completely. If I hadn't already thought him to be super-cool...No Castiel/Dean I'm afraid. I have been keeping my eye out for Misha / Jared or Jensen or both fics and have a couple that I really loved, but there needs to be MORE.

Ha ha ha. I did and I didn't. The panels and guests were all great and I managed to squeak out a couple of sentences to everyone in the autograph panels and I got to see that awesome bit in the photoroom...but the rest of it was...crappy.

Man, I have no idea how the organisers managed to balls up so much. That first night we got there at 1pm & the queue for registration was so long we couldn't join it. We were told we had to register by 4 for the photos, so that caused some panic 'till they told us everything was running late so don't worry about it. We queued from 3-6ish and then when I finally registered all the stuff was missing from my pack & you then had to get into another really long (2hr?) queue to get those *sigh*

Though Misha walked right passed us in that queue and, man, he is so much better looking in the flesh. Not that he looks bad on screen, just kinda shinier. That sounds odd & lame, but it makes sense. Honest :P Also his panels were seriously fucking hilarious. And yet he still managed to mention Harriet Tubman and talk about gender politics whilst never giving a non-sarcastic answer. GENIUS.

Nope. Didn't see them. I think they were at the Jason Manns gig, but we (me, siubhlach & ulysses3_de) flaked from that and sat talking about fics in our room whilst chain-smoking. Seemed a funner use of time & involved zero standing - which was very important.

Ha ha ha. I forgot to say that I had a pic done with just Jensen. He was sitting again for those & I misjudged the distance for getting close to him & hit him with my left breast *facepalm*. He gave me a bit of a funny look before saying 'hey'. Needless to say I backed away quickly.

It was in Birmingham in the UK. About 3.5 hours away from where I live, so not too far.

The guests were really good at making the event entertaining to make up for all the bad organisation and endless queuing. Still, worth it though.

Aww bless. lol! I still can't believe the moment with Leah. I still have the image of my idol Jared chasing MY daughter under the table. It was the best and I will never forget it. Out of the 3 Asylum's I went to this was my all time fave and its put me on a high.

Hee. Hard work almost seems like an understatement. I don't remember a time my feet were as sore as Friday night. But yeah, you really did feel like the guests were going out of their way to make the best of it for everyone (especially Misha who just exceeded the expectectations of awesomeness).

Yeah. Rogue really messed it up and I was pretty embarrassed that the 2 guys who 'organised' it accepted gifts on stage. Ooops. Especially as Jensen was just about to cover their asses.
