To restore my faith in all things happy after the London Mayor fiasco at the weekend and all the press for the horribly shiny forehead that is David Cameron that this has led to, I spent a while looking at kitten pics on the interwebbery - because kittens make everything better - and found Memebon - the worlds cutest kitten here.
This is Memebon being tiny & cute

This is Memebon reaching for something in a spectacularly cute way

This is Memebon doing the cute wibbly kitten walk with Mum & Dad kitty

More adorableness can be found at the Memebon website.
Not related to anything, but I want Stargate Continuum [beware spoilers] to come out now. *whines* I miss Daniel Jackson. And Vala. And Cameron...Hell, all of them.
112 fics for
spn_j2_bigbang! That's ages of good reading ahead and from looking at the summaries, they're going to be fantastic. It's all very exciting. Add to that I've got someone super-cool doing the art for mine. I'd bounce if only I wasn't so lazy.
I'm a couple of hours early in this timezone, but HAPPY BIRTHDAY
annasanna1985. I hope you have a great day full of pretty Jensens.
So what's up with you?

Date: 2008-05-06 10:37 pm (UTC)And I like Batty Boris as mayor, for two reasons. Firstly, he's absolutely nuts and I find most of what he says rib-crackingly ridiculous and secondly, I don't live in London :D
And lastly, because it's important, *Big Bang squeeage*

Date: 2008-05-06 11:05 pm (UTC)Hmm. I think Boris is fine as a comedy Tory, just wrongwrongwrong for being in charge of stuff. Me either, but it's pretty close & that's enough for me. Even worse, how hideous is it that the BNP got a seat at the assembly. Ick.
Hee. *squees with you again*

Date: 2008-05-07 08:44 am (UTC)I'm generally of the opinion that it's wrong for any Tory to be in charge of things...but then I grew up in a mining village! Not that Labour have done me any better in their single-minded quest to shaft the student. Grrr.
When the BNP start winning seats, I figure it's generally a sign that the parties in power are doing something hideously wrong!

Date: 2008-05-07 10:55 pm (UTC)*Agrees* No mining villiage but...erm...the most liberal city in the UK? Possibly? I do believe we are the gay capital and home to many a saucy / illicit weekend getaway. No - they haven't. But they're less hideous and entitled as people. Although did you see the cannabis class move today? What a waste of police time that will be.
And that people are idiots.

Date: 2008-05-07 11:11 pm (UTC)I think you might be right. And I can forgive Labour a lot because they never put Maggie Thatcher in power. And yes, but on the plus side it will increase arrest records and therefore make the stats look better...God, I'm cynical.
Oh come on, you need evidence to know that?

Date: 2008-05-07 11:39 pm (UTC)Too true. And Labour has John Prescott who I've had a soft-spot for ever since he punched the egg-throwing heckler in he face. Now that's political discourse! And not cynical. Perceptive.
Nope. But it can never be said enough.

Date: 2008-05-08 07:31 am (UTC)*snorts* Wasn't it Prescott who ended up with the Two-Jags moniker? It worries me that that man is able to hold such a high position in government.
Cynically perceptive :)
Too true

Date: 2008-05-09 09:37 pm (UTC)Yup. That was him. I know, but at least he could win in a punch up in the house of commons. Did you read Charlie Brooker's column on the mayor race. So fucking funny.

Date: 2008-05-09 09:51 pm (UTC)True, true. Nah, not a Guardian reader (not a newspaper reader, if I'm being really honest about it). Gist?

Date: 2008-05-09 10:43 pm (UTC)I couldn't do it justice. Column here (http://www.guardian.co.uk/commentisfree/2008/apr/14/charliebrooker.boris).

Date: 2008-05-10 09:38 am (UTC)*laughs* That's awesome. And disturbing similar to my stance on the whole thing. I love point 1 in his list of reasons to vote for Livingstone (that's me, that is!"

Date: 2008-05-10 03:44 pm (UTC)I'm with you on point 1. I loved the description "simpering pudge-faced smuggery". So, so true. But I think it was all the LOL stuff that made me laugh the most.

Date: 2008-05-10 04:32 pm (UTC)I liked the fact that Boris was a LEGERND
