Okay, here is my guide to special features: 'Making of featurettes': Frustrating as all hell. Stop fecking up my suspension of disbelief, dammit. Also, they far too regularly include people talking shit (Peter Jackson, take note). Featurettes relating to music/special effects/puppet making/role of the tea boy: Boring. Mind-numbingly, bone-jarringly tedious. These are not interesting subjects. Shut the feck up. Featurettes relating to fight sequences/dance choreography: Interesting. I like these. Most especially when they involve the star falling on his arse trying to master the supercool combat moves. Gag/Blooper Reels: SQUEE. I adores them, big stylee :) Deleted scenes: Ooooh, more yummy. Gimme, gimme, gimme Commentaries: Why in the name of all that is good and holy would I want to watch the film with some dozy fool talking over the top of it, all the way through? I have killed people for less! Theatrical trailer: I have an odd fondness for watching these after I have seen the film, mostly to assess how much they lied to me!
Fear that I may miss some of the ones I like mean that I have to buy with all the features included. I am anal like that.
You'd think wouldn't you? 'Buy me this' is a pretty comprehensive instruction. Doesn't work. Cause they go to find-dvd.co.uk and buy the cheapest version available instead. Or wait too long and end up going to HMV and buying whichever version is available...
Beat it with sticks!
Thank you. Off there later today *shudders* What an evil thing to do on a Sunday.
Pain in the ass isn't it? Anyway, how is that any different from a normal day? I know, I think it's because you get the next three visible. But my birthday is also visible on my profile I think, whereas yours isn't. I have a sneaking suspicion I won't get an LJ notification for yours...
Of course, how could I be so foolish (I blame the Sunday phenomenon)
You know, this might be the world's longest comment...
